Basic Summary – Following freshman year at college, best friends Tibby (Amber Tamblyn), Lena (Alexis Bledel), Carmen (America Ferrera) and Bridget (Blake Lively) find it increasingly difficult to stay in touch. As their lives take different paths, it may take more than a shared pair of well-worn blue jeans to keep their bonds from completely unraveling.
The sisterhood is back and maybe better than last time. Last time we saw the sisterhood, they were spending the summer away from each other during their high school years. This time after their first year of college, spend the summer doing various adventures. The pants take more of a backseat in this film as opposed to the previous films and perhaps that is the purpose. We forget that the pants are even there.
The characters each deal with tough events during their summers apart. I personally like that the stories each character follows. However, by the end, I feel as though some things were still left unresolved other than the pants. Perhaps that is the point: the pants don’t fix everything, some things need time and friendships to keep you strong.
If you’ve seen the first one, then by god the second one is so much better. Go check it out.
