Basic Summary – As a group of New Yorkers (Michael Stahl-David, Mike Vogel, Odette Yustman) enjoy a going-away party, little do they know that they will soon face the most terrifying night of their lives. A creature the size of a skyscraper descends upon the city, leaving death and destruction in its wake. Using a handheld video camera, the friends record their struggle to survive as New York crumbles around them.
Found Footage films can either be a hit or miss. This one is a 50/50 on me personally. I love films that keep me on the edge of my seat, however, I didn’t really feel that. It started off pretty slow, but most films have to begin like that but halfway I still didn’t have that anticipated feeling.
The story is good – I guess. It’s pretty known what is going to happen at points. Characters are okay. The monster is kinda underwhelming. The little creatures are scary though so yeah I was happy about those.
I believe it is a good thriller/action film. I mean if you can handle all that plus some serious shakey camera at certain points, then go ahead. I don’t really have much to say about this. Have fun.
