Basic Summary – Andie (Molly Ringwald) is an outcast at her Chicago high school, hanging out either with her older boss (Annie Potts), who owns the record store where she works, or her quirky classmate Duckie (Jon Cryer), who has a crush on her. When one of the rich and popular kids at school, Blane (Andrew McCarthy), asks Andie out, it seems too good to be true. As Andie starts falling for Blane, she begins to realizes that dating someone from a different social sphere is not easy.
I love this film so much. Just as much as I love Ferris Bueller, but it follows another story matter. The famous High School Prom. It is a pretty simple story that we are kinda jumping in midway. I don’t remember how the main love interests actually meet each other, nor do I believe they actually show it. But throughout the story, I don’t really care anymore.
There was and continues to a big disagreement on who Andie should be with in the end, but I honestly like who she chooses. I wish we could have witness the other side through a deleted scene, but they would never give that.
It’s totally worth owning on DVD or Digitally, since it is kinda hard to find it online now.
