Basic Summary – It’s been nearly two years since Superman’s (Henry Cavill) colossal battle with Zod (Michael Shannon) devastated the city of Metropolis. The loss of life and collateral damage left many feeling angry and helpless, including crime-fighting billionaire Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck). Convinced that Superman is now a threat to humanity, Batman embarks on a personal vendetta to end his reign on Earth, while the conniving Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg) launches his own crusade against the Man of Steel.
I’ve been waiting for a good DC film for a while now. And this….didn’t quite do it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s packed, but it is overpacked.
There are so many storylines going on that eventually, you just get confused on what is going to happen after. At this point if you haven’t seen the film, DON’T READ PASS THIS POINT!
The trailer gives so much away. There isn’t much to look forward to afterwards. Jesse Eisenberg is putting his own spin on Lex Luthor which isn’t bad, just isn’t good either. The fate of our main characters is kinda rushed as well. Like it isn’t really appreciated as it was in the comics.
This film actually makes me worried for Justice League Part One in the future of DC films. I think they should stick with television, they are pretty good at that. Plus the animated films they release straight to DVD/Blu-Ray/Digital HD are actually way better.
Good luck finding the film. It isn’t on iTunes at this point (which is weird) but knowing everyone, you know where to find this film.
