The Hunger Games – Catching Fire (2013)

Sorry for being away for so long. Finals needed full attention, but now that it is Winter Break hopefully I can make it up to you guys. But here is the conclusion to the Hunger Games Reviews

Basic Summary – After arriving safely home from their unprecedented victory in the 74th Annual Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson) discover that they must do a quick turnaround and begin a Victors Tour. As she and Peeta travel throughout the districts, Katniss senses a rebellion is stirring. However, President Snow (Donald Sutherland) proves that he is still very much in control when word comes of a cruel change in the rules for the upcoming 75th Hunger Games.

Catching Fire, the next film in this “trilogy” – I don’t even know if you would consider the film series a trilogy at this point. But moving on from that, The story follows our characters through some more troubling times. As the revolution grows, we are seeing this slowly affecting our characters and the world around them. The first half of this film focuses on character development and introducing some new ones into the story while the entire second half, we are back in a newly improved arena.

While talking about the arena, IT IS PRACTICALLY AN EXACT REPLICA OF THE ONE IN THE BOOK.

In addition they took this film to fix any mistakes that were made in the first film thankfully.

Amazing cast – they all know what their roles are and how to bring out the best in their characters

Overall, this is a great film that throws you right back into the story so if you haven’t seen the first film or read the first book – you might be a bit confused.
