Summary – It’s been three years since the Barden Bellas (Anna Kendrick, Rebel Wilson) became the first all-female group to win a national title. All seems well until a botched Lincoln Center performance for the president leads to a scandal that strips them of their performing duties, causing internal tension and strife. With the world championships on the horizon in Copenhagen, Denmark, the women must get their act together for their one and only shot at redemption.
When a sequel somehow manages to top the first film, you know something is being done right. Pitch Perfect 2 is an amazing sequel to now the trilogy. The “Pitches” are back at it again with world competitions and with what happens after college ends. They brought back practically all the original cast which is a huge bonus for this film (plus some special guest stars – BARACK AND MICHELLE OBAMA, SAY WHAT?!) I love the concept of this film and everything about this film just screams aca-amazing. I love this film. But it does have one flaw though – I felt the “original song” wasn’t that amazing (until the end) but it was just eh. There wasn’t much special about it, just sounded like it was someone showing off a song at a talent show. Love all the other songs in the film.
See both films. And if you don’t, Aca-excuse me. I don’t aca-believe it. Okay I’m done with the aca-jokes. But all in all go see the film and its sequel, it is worth wasting a few hours on it.
